    WHO YOU ARE: You have proven success in opening new studios within either a franchise model and/or multi-unit operation. Your expertise lies within building go-to-market sales and new studio business strategies. You understand inspiring communication, training and ongoing brand management are key elements to success. You thrive in team settings, sharing ideas and collaborating with others to help move increase key performance metrics. You're a master at managing several projects at a time, and you roll with it when deadlines shift. You take direction and collaborate well, but because you're a self-starter, you don't depend on it to make things happen.


    In partnership with the VP of Franchise Operations and Director of New Studio Development you will:

    1. Plan and support successful studio openings through proven marketing and sales, tactics, partnerships, business development and strategic integrated go-to-market campaigns.

    • Ideate, develop and manage strategic plans and tactics to support successful new studio openings that will drive brand awareness and pre-opening sales.
    • Successfully lead and launch new studio business strategy through thoughtful communication between all studios and cross department teams that will increase company synergy and elevate new studio performance
    • Oversee and analyze new studio sales and marketing health metrics and provide actionable insights that will move the business forward.
    • Develop a new sales and marketing training curriculum and lead sales and marketing trainings to new studio owners that will support on-boarding new studio owners and drive successful studio launches.
    • Provide mentorship and on-going support for new studio owners to drive local brand awareness and membership sales throughout all phases of their pre-opening, including 8 weeks post-grand opening.
    • Conduct consistent analysis of new studio reporting with actionable insights that uncover new strategic approaches to surpassing new studio KPIs. KPIs include, but aren't limited to: pre-sale revenue, brand awareness, conversion to create faster ROI on initial franchising investment.
    • Author detailed and strategic creative briefs and project manage new studio sales and marketing collateral
    • Co-manage third party data syndication agency to successfully launch a new studio digital presence
    • Ensure consistent style, branding, and standards within all client-facing content
    • In partnership with the VP of Marketing, continually ideate and optimize the most effective and efficient ways to allocation the New Studio Opening Marketing Budget

    2. Be a key leader on the Franchise Team. The Franchise Team's purpose is to provide a strong franchise framework and support system to drive revenue and profit for barre3 Owners. Important elements include contributing to the ongoing evolution and innovation of Owner development, client needs, industry best practice, research & development of new initiatives and strong collaboration with other barre3 departments.

    • Partner closely with the Franchise, Marketing and cross department teams, including the VP of Marketing, VP of Franchise Operations, and Director of New Studio Development to reach Franchise dept business goals.
    • Collaborate with the marketing, retail, creative and digital teams to maximize each initiative across all business units
    • Contribute to annual Marketing and Franchise plans based on key learnings, trends, and wins
    • Report on key sales and marketing pre-opening metrics to all stakeholders.

    3. Execute Grand Opening Field Support. Travel to new studio openings to operationalize marketing and sales strategies.

    • Travel requirement is 1-3 trips per month at 3-5 days per trip.
    • Execute sales and marketing strategies in-person, modeling for studio owners on how to identify opportunities and create partnerships and connections in their community.
    • Conduct In-person sales and brand awareness training with franchise studio teams.

    • 5+ years experience in multi unit or franchise studio development, ideally in marketing and sales efforts
    • 5-7 years marketing agency experience or sales and business development inhouse experience, preferably on account management, strategy, business development and/or planning team(s)
    • Experience analyzing data to create actionable insights that relate to consumer behavior and translate into business strategy
    • Understanding of the fitness + lifestyle brand landscape married with a strong curiosity to continue to learn
    • Proven track record of hitting sales forecast goals in a highly competitive industry
    • Expert knowledge of franchise marketing or multi-unit operation marketing best practices
    • Located, or re-location to Portland, OR
    • BS or BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
