    Title: Web Developer

    Tortal Training is seeking a creative, motivated Web Developer to work with our Learning Technology team to implement custom learning management and content delivery systems in a collaborative, fast-paced, results-focused, virtual workplace environment.

    The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with 7+ yrs Web development experience including knowledge of learning management platforms and an ability to translate business requirements into stable, scalable, client solutions.

    This position will be responsible for updating and enhancing current client and public-facing online applications while adhering to quality assurance and usability standards.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Position Requirements:

    • Proficiency with HTML/HTML5/CSS/JS/JQuery/Bootstrap and other front-end technologies
    • Proficiency with ASP.NET, ASP3.0, PHP5+, MSSQL, MYSQL5+, and other backend technologies, databases, etc.
    • Familiar with Windows Web technologies including .NET and IIS 6, IIS 7, IIS 7.5+
    • Experience translating business logic from source Web programming languages to target Web programming languages or frameworks (client or server) as needed, using MVC and OOP methodologies
    • Experience coding and deploying enterprise-level applications in a cross-platform, cross-browser environment
    • Documenting, prototyping and wireframe design, debugging cross-browser issues
    • Knowledge of learning technology and learning management systems (LMS: Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Litmos, other), e-learning practices, SCORM, etc.
    • Experience with social media and third party REST APIs
    • WordPress – custom themes, plugins, etc.
    • Positive, can-do attitude, open to suggestions and collaboration, open to share past experience for future system success
    • Active listening and critical thinking - detail oriented and organized, excellent time- management skills, and professional attitude 


    Positive, but not required:


    • Experience with MS SQL Server 2014, 2012, 2008, Transact-SQL queries and views, stored procedures, and triggers
    • Ability to translate business requirements into relational data models and familiarity with database backup strategies, management and configuration
    • Experience with big data
    • Experience working with remote development teams
